Trying to reach our keyboarding goals every day!

My goal is to teach your third grader proper keyboarding skills starting from posture, hand positioning, and key searching (see the bottom of the home page for our keyboarding rules). In the midle of January third graders took a short keyboarding assessment to see how many WPM (Words Per Minute) they could type. We set that as their beginning base line and then set goals throughout the rest of the school year.  It is our final goal to be at 10wpm by June 6.  When they reach each goal date they take another assessment to see their improvement.  If they have reached their goal they recieve a prize that is set for that level (you can see the layout of this on the bottom of the home page).

I am proud of each and every one of these children for the hard work and determination they put forth.  With their willingness, my help, their teacher's help, and your help; they will be even more successful!

Here you will find links to many keyboarding and fun games that we have used in the lab.  Fun is guaranteed!

Please enjoy these games with your Third Grader!
